Arthur Hnatek

Arthur Hnatek (pronounced Na-tek) is a Swiss drummer, composer and electronic music artist originally from Geneva, now based in Zurich. Recipient of the Swiss Music Prize in 2022, his work connects instrumental performance, improvisation and contemporary electronic music culture. His debut solo album Adrift was released on Mouthwatering Records in 2024, followed by a forthcoming EP on Hessle Audio in late 2026. His live performances bring acoustic drums and electronics into a hybrid setting, exploring rhythm, physicality and the space between instrumental performance and club culture. Hnatek’s music has received international attention, including airplay on BBC Radio 6 Music and support from Laurent Garnier. He has collaborated with artists including Barker, Stenny, Noémi Büchi and Ripperton. His broader musical background includes extensive international touring with Tigran Hamasyan and the Erik Truffaz Quartet, as well as his award-winning Arthur Hnatek Trio.
