About the Performance: 56K—A Fibredream
In the lecture performance 56K—A Fibredream, Benjamin Burger navigates the liminal “third spaces” created by the interconnectedness of two locations. These telematic environments follow their own laws: sound travels faster than light, presence fractures across geographies, and synchrony is impossible. Yet, beneath this seemingly weightless virtual space lies a heavy infrastructure entangled with corporate and geopolitical interests. Together with drummers Arthur Hnatek in Lucerne and William Hsu in Taipei, the group explores the possibilities of connection within an impossible space.
