About the Performance

MC JAW, a rapper who spins tongue twisters, is like a rare bird courting deep in the Amazon, carefully crafting calls that command attention, with no time to care whether they please the ear. He calls this “gentle sharpness”: piercing music’s linear logic to place greater weight on expression and reshaping. Rhyme upon rhyme, he presses meaning until it strangles itself—a state of semantic satiation, a Gestalt breakdown. From that collapse, he makes the rhythms of words resonate anew, inducing jamais vu: the familiar made suddenly strange.
