Piero Scherer is a composer, musician, and sound artist whose work defies genre boundaries. About the Performance: Shamanic Acts for 2026

A dancer sets out on a pilgrimage to the Goddess of the Sea, despite having no religious faith. She follows the crowd, moving to the beat of the drums, walking for hours, for days… She does not think; she only listens… She pauses when the heat becomes too much; when strangers offer her food, she accepts it. She is not pretending to be one of them, yet her body keeps reminding her that every movement she makes is just like theirs. When she finally stops walking, she is unsure whether she has reached a spiritual peak or has simply been moved to tears of joy.
