Located on the east side of Dazhi Bridge in Taipei, facing Songshan Airport with Keelung River and Riverside Park in the background, Jut RS289 offers two distinct urban landscapes. The building’s exterior showcases red clay tiles and metal arched grids. Though the clay bricks seem varied, they are carefully stacked with identical tiles, highlighting the high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. Both the exterior and public spaces were designed by renowned Japanese architect Jun Aoki, emphasizing “material aesthetics,” where the natural beauty of materials is enhanced through refined construction methods, resulting in elegant spatial effects.
