This is a special rendition of Melting Part’s classic LAB SH*T experience: a cross-disciplinary jam session of beats and movement. Though these two realms may seem intuitively distinct, they are deeply connected by a shared cultural foundation, relying on and validating one another.
LAB SH*T will invite the audience to engage in an improvised conversation between NOD TOWN’s Hip-Hop beatmakers and a selection of acclaimed street dancers, exploring sound, movement, and the unknown.

NOD TOWN is Taipei’s resident authority on all things beats. Born from the Beats and Friends collective in 2021, NOD TOWN is a team of artists, musicians, producers, and designers comprised of Conehead 錐頭, D.J. Kool Klone, _tarolin, WADE DAO, Pololu, and Rodionn. Together, they form an active performance unit, underground hip-hop within Taipei’s vibrant musical ecosystem.
Invited by Melting Part, four dancers, Tien, Juann, ANONN, and Artshow, each renowned in their respective communities of Taiwan’s thriving dance community come together to lead the “cypher” and the crowd on an improvised, interdisciplinary jam of sound and movement.
