AP-C is a Taipei-based DJ and visual artist who grew up at the intersection of analog and digital culture. Since entering the electronic music scene and beginning to perform in 2022, music has gradually become another medium of self-expression alongside visual work.

Drawn to crisp, layered rhythms, fluid timbres, and spacious sounds, their selections move between bass, breaks, electro, techno, IDM, ambient, and downtempo. Rather than being defined by a single genre, their sets shift continuously between rhythm, texture, and space.

Overnight Dance Session Special (Curated in collaboration with tripper)

Dancing from late at night until dawn is perhaps the closest electronic music culture comes to ritual. Through recurring beats and bodies moving together, participants form a temporary community, sharing a stretch of time outside the rhythms of everyday life. In response to the question posed by this edition of Sonic Shaman—“How (Not) to Believe in This World Again”—the overnight program offers an answer: return to the body; return to a stretch of time that cannot be fast-forwarded, but can only be experienced firsthand. It is an experience that no screen can generate or fabricate. Carrying that experience with us, we return to the world.
