Born in 1978 in Hong Kong, Lee Kit lives and works in Taiwan. He did some exhibitions here and there. But he had very limited performing experiences. The last performance he did was at a party in university in 2007. He had a short-lived anonymous band with a few artist friends. He also played music sometimes in some friends’ gathering. He thought the installation process in every exhibition he did were very much a performing process. Since it was too naked and pretentious to put it into words, the sense of performing during the installation was not part of his ideas. That’s the other story.

The artists collect short clips about clumsy, stupid behavior or the inability to adapt to life from video streaming platforms. The protagonists in these clips either lack life experience beyond their own social classes, or act like a square peg in a round hole. The artists edit these clips and combine them with the storytelling interlaced by memories and history as well as the real and the fictional, thereby responding to the communication failures, futility, or embarrassing moments when the solution is nowhere on the horizon in our quotidian existence.
